Kelin is a personal documentary that explores the realities and expectations of marriage in Kazakhstan through a heartfelt narrative rooted in family and self-discovery. Created as part of the IAS Fellowship 2024, the film contributes to student-led research focused on the Global South.
Metal In Blood
2023
A short documentary about Ahmed Nabeel, egyptian metal band singer in Doha, I directed, filmed, and edited for my One Person Documentarian course. The final project explores challenges of building a metal band in Doha, while maintaining a healthy family life.
Ghaida

A short documentary about a VCU student Ghaida, who tells about her artistic journey. It was filmed as a mid-term assignment for One Person Documentarian class to showcase our ability to create a compelling narrative with an accessible source.
